I know many folks in the Maritimes are having problems reaching Wolfstar hosted websites.  I have contacted both Eastlink and Aliant tech support, and the answer they give me is that you as their customer need to contact them before it is really a problem ( Read more... )

    The issue where the Mailing List Web Management Interface was not working for Wolfstar list users and admins should be corrected now.

The List URL for your specifc mailing list can be found in the bottom of every email sent by the Wolfstar mailing list server.  Alternately, you can go to http://www.wolfstar.ca/mailman/listinfo and ( Read more... )

You can subscribe or unsubscribe from Wolfstar lists just by sending an email.  If you want to join a list, just send a blank email to "-join@lists.wolfstar.ca" where is the name of the mailing list, such as "sca.ruantallan" or "sca.dragondormant".  The subject and body of this message will be ignored, so it doesn't matter what you put there ( Read more... )

(27 Sep 2008) For those of you who live and die by the Wolfstar-hosted mailing lists, I am taking that server off-line for the weekend.  New hard-drives and upgrading the OS to Debian with the most current packages.  I expect that the lists will be back up and functioning fine by Monday.

Hi, all. My up-stream ISP is having issues with their authentication server. The problem started around 3pm and is still not resolved. Based on their customer service recording, I do not expect to be back on the air before tomorrow morning. I am very sorry for the aggrivation this may cause some folks ( Read more... )

So I got up this morning to discover the Wolfstar Mail server thrashing and unable to deliver trafffic. A bit of forensics later discovered 1500 pieces of UCE/Spam in the mail queue, each with 20 or 30 recipients. So, right now mail services are switched off on all Wolfstar-hosted domains.
